CP adoption centre closure

Firstly, I don't want this to be a hate campaign against Cats Protection who are generally an excellent charity. However, this closure was put to us 2 months ago, staff and volunteers had discussions and put forward ideas to improve the centre until a new site is found.
However, we found out earlier this week, all cats will be out on Sunday and this hasn't been communicated to the public. This is a very busy centre in a densely populated part of London.

That’s terrible! The CP I’m our area are brilliant. The local charity shop for CP closed just after lockdown though which was very sad. Can you still volunteer for the nearest branch😊?

Is what he said about the poor conditions of the centre true?

The nearest centres are Harrow and Mitcham so too far. There are branches but they don't operate out of a centre like this. Waiting to see what my options are.
The conditions aren't as bad as is claimed. Yes, airborne pathogens could spread and there is damp in the basement. However, closing an existing, albeit not perfect, site in a densely populated area, without a new site being ready isn't really in the best interests of the cats.
