Cat has a lump

Dcat has a large lump on her chest. Hadn't noticed it before today and it was bleeding a bit/oozing so was quite confident it was an abscess or similar (we have another cat that could have scratched her)

Just took her to the vets thinking it would be a round of antibiotics and they've said it's almost certainly mammary cancer 😭 she's my daughters cat, she's had her since she was 3 so doesn't know life without her :(

Our dog had mammary cancer, had everything stripped out died 12 years later. Be guided by the vet

Thank you that's reassuring!! We have opted to have the lump removed and sent to the lab. I won't do any aggressive treatments though, so hopefully it will come back good news. Poor baby
