Hi all
Breadcat is sneezing a couple of time a day. Any ideas?
Not a dusty house - and otherwise very well.
Do cats get hay fever- online is full of doom

One of mine had hayfever. She had 1/4 of a human piriton. As advised by the vet

Get her checked by a vet - it could be hay fever or allergies but equally it could be a respiratory infection that needs to be treated with antibiotics.

Breadcat has an extreme reaction to going to the vet she cries and wees and will not eat after up to 7 days after coming home. (She will not eat there)
They are nice to her!
At 15 we are careful about vet visits

The thing is, at 15 she's also more susceptible to illness and infection - if sneezing is unusual for her then I'd be even more inclined to say she needs to be checked out - sorry!

You can get medication to calm them first so it's worth ringing to ask, or even asking the vet to come to you if possible.

Probably has a grass seed up her nose. Every single cat I've known has had this at least once every couple of years. If eating, drinking and weeing is okay then leave it for a week. The seed eventually rots into gloop and one big sneeze gets it all out. Just make sure you aren't in the firing line having a yawn Blush
