Our kitten has started scooting , Shes 7 Months old and is our first cat ... Shes up to date on her flea and worm treatment and has also had her anal glands checked which were clear.. Is this normal behaviour or should i get her checked out . she does it about 3-4 times a day . its gross 🤮

Would think it's worth checking out. The only time my late very lamented Pud scooted was when he had a nugget of poo which was impaled on a stalk of grass he had eaten, like a smelly olive on a green cocktail stick. He had to scoot to get the rest of the grass stalk out.
TMI, sorry!

Bumping this, hopefully someone will have good advice

Has she been spayed? She could be in season.

Could also be a sign of a uti, normally with licking of the area and frequent visits to the litter tray without anything coming out.

Is she on proper prescription strength wormer?
Has she been spayed?
Is her poo normal?

pavillion1 · 29/05/2024 21:18

Yes she has been spayed and had her last worming treatment end of April which she was weighed for before they prescribed. Ive not seen her do it yet today but obviously ive not been with her 24/7
