Arthritis and thunderstorms

If any of you have arthritic cats, do they struggle more when the weather is humid and stormy?

Our 9yo boy was diagnosed last year and is on daily metacam - he's really sore this morning and I'm thinking it might be connected to the weather?

Photo for tax -and yes, I know he needs to lose some weight 😬 he was 8.5kg at his last appointment and has been on a diet ever since!

My parents cat is the same. I think they have said similar about the weather. Ice suggested they look into Solensia injections for him.

And sadly yup, found exactly the same with my old boy. We had the bad weather yesterday and it was a stiff and sore day for him. It’s sunny today and he’s much happier and less stuff today.

Beast is one word for him @Toddlerteaplease 😂 we have discussed Solensia before so that might be the next stage - unfortunately if I take him to the vets he acts like there's nothing wrong 🙄

Thanks @LostCats - he was only diagnosed back in October so we've not been dealing with it for long. He's okay in himself but definitely stiff and sore - and didn't appreciate me going near his hips 🙈

I've just popped home between jobs to check on him and he seems absolutely fine now 🙄

I checked both hips and no hissing, biting or growling like this morning so I'm guessing he was just a bit stiff 🤷‍♀️

Ah but you’re a good cat mum for coming home to check. Although you did interrupt his busy day 🤣 glad he’s feeling a bit better
