Katkin

Katkin have changed the recipe and packaging. Ipek has now decided he doesn't like splash.

I dont blame him. Now they managed the recipe that particular flavour stinks the house out.

Packaging is now annoying to get into as you need scissors. Ipek doesn't like the visible fat residue and it sticks to the inside of the pack.

I liked the way it was before. It didn't smell and slid out the pack and easy to get into.

Anyone else?

I've heard a lot of bad feedback about the new version of Katkin. I decided to try Untamed and so far so good! Although my cat is a dustbin and will eat any food we give her.

We tries untamed but unfortunately he won't eat it!

I will try for a bit longer then might have to think about transitioning to something else.

It's not cheap either. It looks better but he seems to struggle with the thickness of it now too.

My cat is also a dustbin but he wouldnn't eat Katkin.
In fact the beef one made him sick, it had big lumps of white fat and amelt awful.
He's now on Untamed

Yes! @Clarich007 this was what I also noticed. It wasn't like this last month. I'm going to try something else I think.

He didn't like untamed. Can anyone else recommend anything similar to katkin other than untamed?

Splash was always super stinky, we took it off of our order due to the smell.
But I agree with you about the packaging, very annoying

ChocHotolate · 01/05/2024 22:38

And are the portions smaller?

Clarich007 · 01/05/2024 22:48

Have you tried Encore wet food, or Seriously good Bistro, from Pets At Home.
Also Scrumbles 60%meat content you could try.
All expensive of course 😸

Animonda Carny and Feringa are both food quality foods but they are a bit smelly. Mine devour them though so I put up with the smell 😂

That said, they're expensive so I only buy them when they're on offer. Normally they just get Sheba.

Poorlycatadvicewanted · 02/05/2024 19:43

@ChocHotolate I'm not sure if they are smaller. But the fact a good amount sticks to the sides I would say unless you scrape it all off, you will lose quite a bit. They feel smaller though

@fieldsofbutterflies is sheba OK quality?
