My first cat tax!

Our newly adopted rescue cats came home earlier today. The timid one is behind the sofa as we expected (yes we have given up our living room to them - they are already in control) but her bolder sister has emerged, lured with a catnip toy. Meet Trixie. She isn't showing her face quite yet but she is beautiful from any angle!

Rescue thinks they are related but it isn't clear how. Possibly siblings possibly mother and daughter. Calico is older. They both now come for a fuss but loud noises (my neighbour does like power tools) send little black girl back to her box. Came down this morning and both were very comfy on sofa and then loudly demanded food. They are very good with litter trays. Today we are opening up the catio as they want to see the magpies!

We said this to DH. He did not have his hearing aids in and looked puzzled. She is now known as house hamster. 😀

It sounds like they have settled in very well. Now they have to start training you.

Trixie is officially a lap cat. I have been blessed. Lucille is asleep on the sofa. Can't believe that even yesterday morning they were under the sofa!

Awww , I have noticed with some Rescues where they rehome pairs of kittens you get a black cat as one of a pair ....not because they are hard to home , but because everyone who has cats needs a BlackCat in their lives .

Not like the custard cream you get in a biscuit assortment as a filler . Tut Tut . No.

I lucked out and got a Black Cat paired with ........another Black Cat

as they want to see the magpies !

You need the Magpies For Cats YouTube videoes. Our Male heartily recommends this (but he is paddling the shallow end of the gene pool , we are so glad he is castrated )

They are both beautiful.

Lucille isn't a name you want to be standing out on the street calling very often!! Hope She's a homebody.
