Meet Pepper!

Got her from the rescue at lunchtime. She has been hiding under the chair in the spare room but has come out to eat, cover me in hair, purr loudly and enjoy some lick-e-lix. Oh, and play with her catnip banana!

How lovely! I miss my cat and have been debating on another. I’m a sucker for kittens but hubby thinks it’s nicer to get a rescue adult cat as they are harder to rehome.

I immediately thought she looks like the cat version of Neapolitan ice cream, very pretty. Loving the wild eyed, possessive clutching of the banana! TemporaryCat does that with his Big Fish, daring me to take it away (I'm not that stupid - I like having fingers for a start).

Poor Pepper hiding in a cupboard, you are going to have so much fun together.

@OttoandHoney Do it! And your DH is right, get a black adult cat. They are so loving and always get left behind in rescues. Plus easier on the curtains than kittens.

Aww, Pepper is gorgeous! And she's fallen on her feet with you! My Spooky gave birth to two jet black kittens yesterday! Her first and only! I had all my midwifery kit at the ready and didn't need it, she handled it like a boss! The only thing I'm upset about is that the two people lined up to have a kitten each, seem to have gone quiet on me! And they would both have been beautiful loving homes too. I suspect once they had the idea that they wanted cats, they couldn't wait. If I can't find suitable, responsible owners, they'll stay with us! 🌷

I adopted my girl when she was five. She wanted to bond and so did I! Four years on and we are best friends. Enjoy your darling Pepper! 🥰😻

@OttoandHoneydo get a rescue furball, or better still, get two! My three were all rescues. First one was 5, and the other two were 18 months when I got them (not at the same time). The older girl does not like cats. Fortunately the younger two love each other! They've wrecked plenty but on the plus side, they haven't scaled the curtains like kittens do!

Here she is continuing to relax! She's popped downstairs a few times briefly and had a nose around the other upstairs rooms. She also almost sat on my lap just now, but chose merely to rest a paw on my leg instead!

She’s a beautiful cat - I love her calico type markings.

She is gorgeous , our first cat was a tortoiseshell/white rescue (2yo) she came from a busy house with dogs who decided they didn't want the cat any more and gave her up to re-home . She was pregnant with litter 4 (the rescue vet didn't know till they operated she was so tiny )
She had a new life and lived with us till 17yo

The present overlords are 6 yo bro/sis rescue black cats . Double Trouble

When she sleeps you can admire the beauty of her coat , it is amazing
And if she ever needs her fur shaved for surgery , her skin might be pink with black spots like a tiny exotic ocelot .

She's gorgeous! I would love a dilute tortie and white - I did have one years ago - but with two feisty tortie and white girls in the house plus their velco cat Maine Coon/Ragdoll brother, I don't think it would be a good idea!
