first night after operation

Hi all , We had our kitten spayed and chipped today . She has come home and keeps wiggling free of her jacket thing they put on her . Im annoyed i didnt push for cone instead.
Any tips to help keep this things on ?

I had to take my cats best off as it was too big for her, ditto all the collars they tried. She was safer with nothing on, and left the wound alone.

I agree.
All my cats came back without a cone or vest.
It was fine.
They gently washed rhe area but didn't pull the stitches.
Probably safer without anything.

My littlest has had 7 operations on her stomach - we gave up on the jacket after the first op. It was a right nuisance (though she did look cute). She's always been fine and never bothered her stitches so I wouldn't worry.

Penelope lost the use of her legs when she was put in a vest. 🤣 she regained them as soon as it came off. Funny that!

Haha I can just imagine that Toddler.😹
I saw another comment that said her kitten behaved as if she'd had a stroke, they rushed her off to the vet who took the vest off.
Problem solved, she bounced around again.Cats are funny little things 😂

When I tried a walking harness with mine she would only walk backwards 😬

Thanks all we have taken it off , it was causing more annoyance than good ..
Shes doing really well so far 🤗
