Which Name - stuck on two!

Will be collecting our 3 year old rescue this week. I like the name Rosie, DH likes Sumi (Japanese for black ink) as she is an all black gorgeous little girl!

Will upload the obligatory pictures once we have her later in the week, but so far at DH and I stuck with those names!

What would you pick?

Sumi! I've heard a million cats called Rosie but never met a sumi

Wait until you get her and see which fits her personality the best. We took nearly a month to name our rescue as we couldn't decide. In the end we called out several names we liked and her ears twitched on just the one (we repeated them a few times, she only twitched to the one name but every time). Maybe yours will choose too 😉

Hmm, if DH is a bit equivocal about cats perhaps best let him have his choice of name for her. Keep him feeling positive, like. Psychology innit? Mind you, Rosie is a lovely name too.

To be honest, I am kinda swaying with Sumi, but shhhh, don't tell him just yet Wink

Rosie would be fine for a pink cat, - Sumi better for a black puss.

P.S. Most Japanese female names end with -ko (meaning child). For example, Yukiko (Yuki=Snow + Ko=Child).

So it would be quite sweet to have a variation of Sumi, and sometimes call her Sumiko.

Rosie sounds more like a dogs name to me
