Strange boney lumps on back?

I can't think of another way to describe this but my 7 year old dcat suddenly seems to have two boney kind of prominent ridge type lumps/protrusions on her back near her spine. They seem to have appeared out of nowhere, and she's clearly not wanting us to touch them or examine her. She's long haired so it's difficult to see anything but I don't think there's any wound present. Any ideas what it may be, it's really strange? I'm going to check her again later when I get home and ring the vets if there's no change, but in the meantime anybody have any thoughts on what it could be??

Could she have injured herself?

She may have, she was out overnight a few times this week, by her own choice so that did occur to me. She's been unusually quiet! But eating, drinking etc so I'm puzzled. Unsure if I'm making a fuss about nothing...she hates the vet so I'm mindful not to stress her for nothing.

I would get her to the vets as soon as possible with those symptoms, to be honest.
