Leaving cats at home

Usually when I go on holiday, my cat stays at home and the lady next door comes in every day to feed her and have a play. (We have a cat flap).

We now have a kitten. I wondered what is the youngest you’d be happy with an arrangement like this (if you would)?

How old is the kitten?

Kittens younger than four months should not be left alone for more than four hours. Older than that, they can handle another hour or so. When they reach six months, they can tolerate an eight-hour day without company

We left ours home alone from six months while we went on holiday. Someone came to feed her twice a day.
