My beautiful girl snuck out the house on Sunday, she is an indoor cat but does potter in the garden. Unfortunately she got brave and scaled the fence and ran down the backs. That was the last time i saw her. We e been out looking for her every day since morning and night. We've put it on our local lost and found facebook page and a lost pet site, i've stuck posters up, put her litter tray out in the garden and a worn tshirt of mine on the line. What else can i try? I'm so worried for her and missing her so much.

What else can i do and where else can i look?

Have you called local vets in case someone has taken her there? Any local rescue centres in the area? Is she microchipped?

Put used litter out near your boundary. Go out at 11pm when roads are quiet and your voice will carry when you call.
I hope you find her 🤞🏻

Hopefully she's home soon!
Is she neutered and chipped?
Have you registered her as missing with the chip company?
As DDTOL said, go out at night and shake a pack of Dreamies (or whatever snack she finds irresistible 😃)
She's probably scared and hiding somewhere, rather than roaming far and wide

yeah she's microchipped, not sure of the company. rang round all the local vets and she's not been handed in. i'll move the litter tray to the end of the garden. i've been up and down all the side street backs and looking in sheds and outbuildings shaking dreamies. she loves tuna so i'll take a tin of open tuna out with me.

Oh I am so sorry. It’s so horrible when they do this.

I would go and door knock as many nearby houses as you can, and ask people if they could please check their sheds, outhouses and garages.

With the milder weather I would think there’s a good chance she may have taken refuge while a door was left open and then found herself shut in. Tabbies, I’ve found, are terrors for doing this - I think it’s because they are so beautifully camouflaged.

I hope your gorgeous girl is home soon.

I'll try that @CatChant. She doesn't go far usually when she's got out before, i normally have to rescue her from a neighbours garden so i can't understand where she could be.

My sister got a phone call before to say her cat had been found locked in someone’s shed so definitely what Catchant says, door to door is a great way to let people know. Hope you find her soon

She's absolutely beautiful.

Go door to door and ask if you can check their garages/sheds.

my cat went missing when my mum was looking after him. She'd done all the usual checking, then when he still wasn't back dud that and found him in someone's garage. Luckily as her & the bloke had gone in to check for him & they'd gone through a side door, they found him stuck in a roller garage door he'd slipped between the straight bit and the 'roll' & couldn't get himself back out. (Slim agile cat) He would not have fared so well if the bloke had used the garage door remote as he usually did!!

hopefully you'll be posting a 'safely home' picture soon!!

One of ours went missing and she'd got herself locked in the garage of an empty house, shed obviously gone in during a viewing.

DDs cat hors missing and usually come home about a week later with a superior look on her face

Lost cats are nearly always found (if they're found) within a small radius of home. When cats are scared they will find a hiding place and they will stay there and not move. So you need to go house to house with all neighbours and ask them to search their gardens, sheds, under their decking.

update: Opened back door this morning to go out looking again like we've been doing daily and who was there but Pixie. She literally dived through the door and was ravenous. She doesn't seem to be injured thankfully just hungry, sleepy and wanting cuddles. Thankyou to everyone who commented and gave tips and support.
