Where can she be

One of the cats is on the missing list.

I did something really stupid this morning (the had to be kept in for 48 hours because the other one had a vet procedure on Monday). I turned the cat flap to out but not in (microchip one)

When I got home at 7 I didn't realise they were missing because I thought dd had been home and fed them. She hadn't. I realised at 9ish - they usually arrive for snuggles at about 8.45.

I went to the garden and one immediately came running. There is no sign of the other. I have called and shaken the dreamies but no sign.

So hoping she hasn't wandered too far in desperation or that something bad has happened to her. If it has, it's all my fault.

Oh bless you, you poor thing. No words of wisdom but I hope she comes back to you very soon - sending positive thoughts your way Flowers

Any news?

Nine times out of ten, lost cats are found within a half mile or closer radius of home. Their instinct is to hide in a fixed place if they feel scared.

No news. Have come to bed and hoping she'll be here in the morning.

Oh, awful, you must be so worried, I'm so sorry. I would proactively go on a search, knock on neighbours' doors and ask them to search their gardens and hidden nooks in the garden like under decking. As I said, a lost cat's instinct is to hide, and to hide in a fixed place, but that place is usually very close to home.

Probably asleep in a flowerbed or busy watching the nightlife and can't be bothered to come to you. I have one like this. I think they just catch something for a snack or/and wander into a neighbour's house to see what's offer. ( They have no morals.)

Probably will come back in the morning to see if you're around and offering something tasty.

I think you hit the nail on the head and I went to bed feeling slightly easier having read your post. Particularly as she is an anxious cat.

She is home 🐈 😻. Strolled bleary eyed from her cat bed in the guest room when I got up Grin

The cause of all the worry for those who helped calm me down!

She was rescued by a Greek Cat Rescue and brought overland to a UK rescue. She had a long hard journey during her first 7 months. Now affectionate and adorable!
