Always wanting food but lost weight

So she's 13 and for the past month or so she's constantly wanting food. She's wanting to be fed every 30-60 minutes. Also whenever there is food around she's there straight away begging for it.

I've noticed that she's lost weight as well. She was 4kg I've weighed her and she's now 3kg.
I'm waiting for a call back from the vets but anyone have any idea what this could be?
She's up to date with her worming medication

Truly need to go to the vet's. Probably kidneys failing. What do you feed it on? Perhaps change to poached chicken and rice. But VET first.

My elderly cat went like this - it's probably a thyroid problem. My cat was 18 and we had her pts as she was clearly in pain with walking too etc. She basically just ate and went back to sleep again and not much quality of life. Your cat is 'only' 13 and vet may suggest meds for thyroid, if that is what it is - good luck.

She has pouches of wet food maybe 3/4 a day and also there is always biscuits down for her.

I've also noticed she has become very vocal and weeing a lot more in her litter tray. Usually she only goes outside but now she's in more than out.

Needs her thyroid hormones testing, she may be hyperthyroid (overactive) - can occur in older kitties. I had one cat who developed this. He was put on carbimazole tablets and that managed his symptoms well.

Just seen the 'more vocal' part and that's a hyperthyroid symptom. My kitty also starting drinking more (and thus peeing more).

Yeah sounds like hyperthyroidism. Not unusual in older cats and usually can be well controlled with medication, but she needs blood tests. Losing that much weight should be investigated anyway.
