Flea injections

Recently someone posted an article on here about how flea treatment drops are terrible for the environment, wildlife, humans and pets. I have been using frontline etc on my cats for years and it never seems to work anyway. In light of this I would like to get flea injections for my cats. I've rung around all the local vets and none of them do injections, only drops or tablets. Are injections not a thing anymore? Does anyone use the tablets from the vet and are they any good?

I used advocated spot on. The injections stop fleas breeding but don’t kill the fleas r so the cat can be infested.

Ours have the Program injection which is 6 monthly , mainly because I’m very anti spot on treatments and one of the cats is impossible to give pills to .

We have never seen a flea and they are Siamese so it would be obvious plus they get brushed quite a bit .
