Tips re plastic litter for urine samples!

Hello all,

I have to take regular urine samples to the vet.

DCat dislikes the plastic litter they give you to enable you to do this. She is v reluctant to pee in it. The vet receptionist says cats don't like the feeling of it on their feet.

Have any of you tried just leaving the litter tray bare?

Thanks

My cat sees at the opposite end to the litter. She held on as long as possible though. I bought a new clean tray.

Bare (clean and washed) litter tray is worth a try. Mine (girls) often stand to pee and will frequently aim "out" of the tray, so I put a clean empty tray at the entrance to the main tray and have plenty of success in catching a pee! My difficulty is knowing which cat it was (identical all black sisters) so I have to be vigilant
