Food allergies

Hey, my cat is currently on a trial of hypoallergenic food (purina pro HA). I'm hoping to get her back onto regular food as this is dry only and I'd really like her to be eating wet food/meat. Has anyone gone through reintroducing new proteins after a hypoallergenic diet trial and have any tips?

My plan at the moment is to get single-protein food (e.g. Feringa or Animonda Carny) and use a protein like lamb, pork or duck (less allergenic than fish, beef and chicken and she's also had less of that in the past) and then watch her on one single protein for a while (2 weeks? 1 month?) and see if any of her skin or GI symptoms return. But I haven't seen a clear detailed plan of how to do this, and my vet is of the opinion we should just keep her on hypoallergenic food forever if it is working...

My friend had great success with James Wellbeloved when her cat was diagnosed with IBS. But I think it was the chicken flavour.

Thank you. I don't think we'll use chicken as she's had a lot in the past, but James Wellbeloved turkey might be a good place to start.

I had to do this as well as my cat kept scratching herself to death which the vet thought was a food allergy. I switched to Purina HA until symptoms settled, and then switched to single proteins. I went with KatKin - it’s expensive but it’s single protein and no additives etc.
Initially introduced with half Purina half KatKin and slowly increased to all KatKin. Started with chicken and then started introducing others. It seems it’s fish that triggers her allergies.
