Cat peeing on front door Help!

(Originally posted in pets, but no reply)

We have an ongoing issue with a neighbours cat.
We have a neutered boy cat 🐈 about 4 years old. We got him when he was 1ish from a rescue. He's a beautiful boy but occasionally is in fights with a black and white cat which lives somewhere locally. For quite some time there's been cat pee up the outside of our front door, and on doorstep and mat.
I spoke to a friend who said it was probably our cat spraying and marking his territory?

I just kept cleaning it up but this morning I could hear cat scratching at front door (claws on door mat) I opened the door to a huge puddle as this black and white bugger strode off down the drive! We can't keep him out of our garden (kids have chased with water pistol) he will even try coming through the kitchen window. Meanwhile our big soft lump of a cat has come home with a scratch on his nose and a mangled ear.

Don't know how to stop the other one terrorising ours and peeing all over the front door! Any ideas?

I have had that occasionally, but never see the other cat just smell him.
All i do is wash it down with one of the pet sprays that gets rid of pet smells.
Good luck, it's very unpleasant

Have you tried spraying lemon on the door or some other smell cats don’t like?

One of ours started spraying on our front door from the inside. I didn't ever find a culprit but I suspect that one of the neighbours' cats was peeing on our mat on the doorstep. I threw it out and she stopped spraying. My cats are indoors.

I think there's a pecking order of cats and clearly your boy is lower in the order than the black and white guy! We had that with one of our boys years ago, used to get the shit kicked out of him by the one-eyed tabby up the street. I don't know any way of stopping it though other than keeping your own cat in as much as possible. Is B/W neutered?

I'd get rid of the mat. B/W is intimidating your cat.

Have sprayed with lemon before. Mat is only new (had chucked previous one) I have no idea of whether b/w one is neutered. We haven't been able to work out who owns him.
It's frustrating
