Lumps on cat

My cat is 14.5, recently noticed he seems to have two hardish lumps. One of the back of his neck and one on his belly.

They are fairly hard and don't seem to cause him discomfort if you touch them so don't think they are an abscess.

I will get him booked in to the vets but has anyone had experience of this? Are they likely to be cancerous or could they be benign.

He is absolutely fine in himself.

They could be cysts. Are they shiny and clear and look sort of full of water? My cat has one on his head. Vet said it’s harmless x

My elderly cat has lumps and bumps. Apparently all harmless.
Ask yourself what would you do if they were harmful?
My DC is 16 now and starting to get old and we won't do any expensive ops etc.

I don't think they are cysts. They don't seem to be shiny although hard to tell under his fur.

Thats the thing - not sure that I would put him through an op anyway at his age. They definitely don't bother him - even when we were feeling them and he's a grumpy sod so would let us know!

I'll watch and wait a bit maybe. The other cat if off to the vet tonight as she appears to have gone deaf...their age is hitting them now!
