One of our little cats has just been diagnosed with liver cancer. She's only 5.
Lost loads of weight, off her food. Vets on Friday for bloods, in for a scan today.
We will likely have to let her go at the weekend if the steroids don't perk her up a bit.
Can't really get my head around it. My big strapping 15yo was lying sobbing earlier

We lost our wee (but elderly) girl last November. It’s just heartbreaking. I’m so sorry OP.

So sorry to hear this, we lost our family cat just after Christmas and it really is devastating. She also had a cancer diagnosis, such a horrible shock. Wishing you strength and sending positive thoughts x

Our last 2 were 16 and 18 when they passed. Never thought for a moment it would be something untreatable.

I am so sorry, sad news indeed. Is it inoperable or is surgery an option at all? If surgery is possible, had a kitty who had a liver tumor removed at age 15. We did not really expect much extra time, but she recovered well and lived to 21.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Love to your Kitty and Family xxxx

Only palliative care sadly and only if the steroids and anti sickness meds get her well enough for that.

I'm not up for putting her through twice weekly chemo for a few more months.

She was just sitting in her bed staring in space this morning when I left for work.
I suspect we will have to let her go on Saturday 😔🥲
