Kitten shivering/shaking after first vaccinations

Kitten (10 weeks) had his first vaccinations at 9am today. The vet said they might be very sleepy today, which he has been, but whereas his brother has been prancing around as well as the sleeping, the other one has been very very quiet, unsteady on his legs, not eaten or drunk anything (but has had a wee) and looks really spaced out. Is this normal? He won’t give me a purr either which is very sad :(

I think some have a bit of a reaction. One of mine was very sleepy and non-communicative for a day or so, she hid under a chair and slept. Totally unlike her as she’s a real live wire normally. She was back to normal in a day or so. I know it’s a bit unnerving, but I am sure he will be fine. Keep an eye on him and phone the vet to check, if you are worried.

They can have a reaction like that. Our last cat used to sleep it off for a day or two. Current cat had her booster recently and was very shaky and quiet for about a day. Hope he's feeling better soon.

Thanks both. Fingers crossed he is back to normal soon. Horrible to see him so miserable and unlike himself.

He seems to have perked up a bit now. Had a nice ear wash from his brother and he’s even managed to give me a purr :)
