Anyone use Huskaloo litter?

It's just ground up coconut husk (coco coir). I was wondering if there was actually a difference between the Huskaloo litter and the coco coir bricks you can buy for reptile bedding? The reptile bricks are ridiculously cheap! Thinking I could just bulk buy those bricks instead!

Update if anyone is interested. I signed up to the Huskaloo buddy scheme and they send you a free box of 4 bricks in exchange for feedback etc. Well, I'm not impressed. They say 1 brick is enough to last a week, but they're TINY. I ended up using all 4 bricks in one go for my kittens litter tray. It's very fibre-y and the boys have had difficulty digging in it and covering up, it travels and leaves the floor a mess and after just one day the entire bottom layer is almost solid with wee, making it almost impossible to dig in. I think I'll be going back to ordinary litter, which is a shame as I really liked the idea of this one!

Interesting coconut coir brand. How was the experience ? Any positive experience ? After testing few coconut coir brands. I got good results with riococo coconut coir. I think they are from Sri Lanka.

I use Benek clumping corn litter from Zooplus. It’s really reasonably priced and I like the fact it’s all natural and not that clay stuff. I did use Catsan natural for ages but it was quite expensive for two cats.

I thought huskaloo was a husky poodle combo.

Thanks. I'm using wood pellets at the moment but new to owning a cat so trying to work out what works out best for us and the environment.

TravelTree · 27/09/2024 10:57

@Wanderinghome How is the experience with wood pellets so far?

Wanderinghome · 28/09/2024 09:57

@TravelTree I've only used it about a week but i really like it. My cats got long hair and the litter normally tracks but it hasn't with this at all.
