Finlay has been back to the hospital today following his accident and surgery a month ago when he broke pelvis and fractured vertebra
They are very pleased with his progress - vertebra healing well and new bone growth
He has however, managed to snap the plate they put in despite many screws - although he’s been on strict crate rest - when out briefly he has been hard to control as he’s so young and active!
They are not concerned it will just delay his recovery a bit and we will continue to gradually increase out of crate time over next 2/4 weeks including some unsupervised time out which I’m stressing about
He is quite stiff with a bit of muscle wastage so may need physio but has no limp and is fully weight bearing
We are even going to start reducing his pain relief
I am so pleased and relieved - just in time for his 1/2 year birthday tomorrow

Get well soon Finlay. You are a fine feline.

Pudmyboy · 13/01/2024 00:05

That is one magnificent kitty! Can even make post-op collars look good!
Is he really just 6months old?

Toddlerteaplease · 13/01/2024 06:27

He is absolutely beautiful!

@Pudmyboy yes he is! Born 13th July
Its weird in some photos he looks huge and very grown up in others you can see he’s still a baby
All these photos were the week before his accident
