I took my cat today for her 6 monthly check up. She's 21 and on Metimazole gel for hyperthyroidism. She's been on this medication for over two years and was prescribed 0.1ml once daily. I saw a different vet today who said she's been prescribed the wrong dose and should be have 0.05ml every 12 hours, that it only has a 12hour life and very important that it's timed correctly. So basically she's been having twice the amount she should have and its only been working half of the time. I'm feeling quite upset that this should have happened. Should I report it to anyone?
