Hi All. We've had the standard scratching tree since the boy was a kitten but he's getting a bit chonky for sitting on the top now he's a big lad. He loves to scratch and climb and I think he'd love a bigger cat tree. Do you have any recommendations for sturdy ones popular with the bigger crowd?

Try looking on Zooplus. We bought a large cat tree as we wanted the height and we found this particular one to be very sturdy. She loved curling up on the top bit for a nap as it was very snuggly. We got the light grey version (it was also a lot cheaper then). She liked us putting her catnip mice and material balls in the lower hammock so she could fish them out by herself.

Oh, and since it was up against a wall we had the roped posts at the front for scratching and the material ones at the back. She liked being on the first shelf and scratching on the higher posts.

I have one from Kalven. It's very solid. Pricey. But it's lasted years.

Cat tree king. Lots of designs to choose from , extremely sturdy . Some are massive if you have the space.

RHR pet. I've got large breed exotic cats and their tree is huge and solid! Not cheap but worth every penny.

I can thoroughly recommend RHR trees . We've got the leafy one and it's so nice we'd probably keep it up even if the cat didn't like it
