Cat being sick - should I be concerned?

Previous cats I have owned have occasionally been sick, some more than others, and I’ve just put it down to being a ‘cat thing’.

We’ve had our current cat for 18months and he has never once been sick, but the last few days he’s vomited at least once a day. He seems fine other than this and is eating drinking and behaving normally. We’ve not changed his diet, and he’s an indoor cat so nothing he’s picked up outside.

Is this anything to worry about? I’d think less of it with any of me previous cats who had form for random throw-ups, but it is unusual for him.

I would get him checked over at the vets if it's not usual for him. It might be nothing more than him trying to shift a particularly stubborn hairball, but better safe than sorry.

He probably has a hairball stuck somewhere. You could try a hairball paste until you can get him in at the vets.

Mine often has a few days of vomiting before producing a massive one - normally right at the bottom of the stairs so I tread in it first thing in the morning 🙄😂

Thanks for advice - obviously being a contrary creature he’s not been sick again since I posted so hopefully that’s the end of it, but will keep an eye on him.

Brilliant! Hope he’s doing ok and not been sick again.
