we have just taken our new 12 week old kitten home from an animal rescue.

have had cats before but ages ago, and wondered if anyone had any useful tips or guidance or things they’d wished they’d known when rehoming?

I think I might have got two?

Get a large dog crate for those moments when you want either to do something without the kitten helping or to put them somewhere safe.
Two kittens can go either way. Two cat be great and entertain each other or they can be so absorbed in each other they don’t bother about humans at all.

Get pet insurance ASAP.

Just been reading on Facebook about someone who can't afford the £750 emergency vet bill when their cat was injured over Christmas.

Go back and get another kitten.

Don't agree - I've brought up nine kittens in my time and have never needed a crate for them. No idea where this obsession with crating pets has come from.

I would however recommend two kittens at a time though (unless you fancy three)

Definitely get another one. Also, you need to pay the cat tax on this board.

Get another one Grin it's soooo much easier with two!

Agree with the pp about insurance! Only had my kitten for a few months and I have spent hundreds on vets visits ans treatments and still going! Luckily I took out insuramce on day 1!
