We had our cat put to sleep yesterday she fell ill a week ago. Tests at the vets couldn't find anything wrong just likely to be old. She was 14. She stopped eating. We spent all of Christmas giving her cuddles. She purred right to the end. Vets said yesterday it was likely to be tumours in her tummy.
The house feels so empty without her and I cannot stop crying today. We are all lost without her 🥲

I'm going to collect my fur baby's ashes and footprints today , it's an awful feeling but we must concentrate on the love , care and comfort we provided when they were at their best and then did the right thing for them when it was needed.

So sorry for your loss. It’s the hardest part about having pets, having to say goodbye. And even harder at Christmas, which is meant to be full of happy memories.

I’m so sorry. I’m struggling today - my old girl died today. It’s absolutely awful and I can’t say anything to help but wanted you to know you’re not on your own.
