My DCat has got a bite just below her ear. Been to vet, had antibiotics and metacalm but she keeps scratching it making it bleed.
Any advice about cones? I need to make sure it's not going to ride up towards her ears or it'll be on her bite.
Debating plastic cone or donut?

I wouldn't think a donut would stop her scratching it - what about a fabric cone?

I think both cone and doughnut would rub on the bite wouldn't they? I'd give the vet a ring tomorrow when they open and ask advice from one of the nurses. They'll be able to advise and supply what they think will work.

My cat is currently wearing a cone with velcro fastening, so it's easy to get on and off. It is rubbing the center of her neck where she has a bald patch, but it's not close to her ears.

@margotrose I don't know much about cat cones - what's a fabric one?

A bit like this @Sunflowers098

You can get different sizes/designed but they're softer than the plastic ones and my cat definitely tolerated it better. She was in a cone for two weeks after surgery and hated the hard version!

Finlay has a stiff fabric one for unsupervised times and a soft one for when he’s out of crate
Nearly 2 weeks since surgery and coping ok
