Insurance recommendations

I'm with ManyPets, and the insurance is due to go up from £23 to £29 per month for a 6 year old cat with no health needs, and who I have never claimed for in the 2 years I have had her.

It seems a lot, combined with a worrying thread I read where people were having trouble getting insurance paid from ManyPets. Does anyone have recommendations for a good insurer please?

Petplan are excellent but will likely be more expensive for good cover but they pay out really quickly and we’ve never had any quibbles .

I’ve been with John Lewis, Sainsbury’s and Tesco in the past and I’m currently with PetPlan. No problems with any of these companies, but you do need to compare the different levels of cover to be compare like for like.

Tesco is fab!

Thanks all, I'll have a look at all the companies you've mentioned.

I’ve just insured with many pets and after making only 3 payments they have just had to cover Finlay’s accident and surgery which so far is over £8000 - and not finished yet as may need physio
they were very helpful and liaised directly with our vet and the hospital so I didn’t have to pay anything and claim it back later (just paid the £99 excess)
I have not had as good experiences with Tesco and Sainsbury’s for previous pets - although I did go for more basic cover which this time prompted me to go for highest level
