Got up this morning to find one of the cats with a dead Shrew, they are indoor cats and we are in a second floor flat with self contained stairs.
How the hell did it get in and are there likely to be more?

Is it definitely a shrew - long nose, short tail? As they are unlikely to come in the house preferring field locations. If they do come in they are likely to be solitary.
Fortunately your furry protectors did their thing.

It's def a Shrew, long nose and tiny, just can't understand how got in an upstairs flat
