What time can I give Gabapentin?

Hello, I’ve got to give my cat Gabapentin tonight and again tomorrow morning 2hrs before we go to the vet.
I am having to get up very early as the appointment is at 8, so want to go to bed soon.
They just said to give the gabapentin “the night before” but didn’t specify a time. Can I give it now or should I hold on until later?? Thank you!

My cat is on two a day, 12 hours apart.

My cat is on regular gabapentin, three times a day. I do them at 11pm, 9am and 4pm, because otherwise I couldn’t get a decent night’s sleep.
When she had blood tests recently I had to give her three pills in the morning before the appointment, I think it was 2 hours beforehand. So maybe around 6.30am. We had given her the regular pill at 11pm the night before.
