Best pet insurance for young cat?

I am getting ready to welcome my rescue cat and looking into pet insurance for her. She is two years old with no existing health issues.

I had Petplan in the past but never had to make a claim so I am not sure how good they are.

Any suggestions?

I've had huge claims with Tesco. They have been excellent. Just bear in mind that with all companies now, you have to pay a percentage of any claims when they reach the age of eight. I didn't realise this until I insured my new girl.
My three year old is costing about £13 a month I think..

Another vote for Tesco. Our old boy has recently been diagnosed with arthritis and they've been excellent to deal with,

Tesco 100% paid out 3 days after I made a claim. I pay under £30 a month for 2 cats with lifetime cover & £10,000 per illness per year.

Please choose one that covers dental. I am with Many Pets and they do.

My DD is a vet and complains constantly about pets in pain that need dental work that customers can’t or won’t pay for.

Animal Friends has always been our choice.
They're inexpensive and they pay out really quickly.

Many pets have been prompt in paying claims.

Great! thank you so much for the advice and I will make sure I have something that covers dental as well :).

We had Petplan for Harry and they paid out every claim without any problems. Over the years we claimed for his jaw, dental, kidneys, heart and leg and they never quibbled.
