I’ve bought my cat a new litter box and thrown away the old one. It’s very similar in style, it’s in the same place, and filled with the same litter. He won’t go in it and been either going outside or using my sofa as a toilet instead 😫. He’s doing this either when we are either out or in bed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get him too use the new litter box please? I’ve tried googling and read that I should have put some of his dirty litter in it but it’s too late for that now. He’s 10 and never had this problem before.
