Our elderly diabetic cat (14 so not that old) has recently begun weeing in the house. Is there a possible cure? Unfortunately a vet visit is not possible at the moment as we are spending all our time with our newborn in NICU.

It could well be stress. Particularly if you are out of the house much more than usual. They some thing to relax him? Hope your son is doing ok.

A diabetic cat weeing inappropriately my first thoughts are:
Diabetes not stable
UTI
Really needs a vet visit ideally with a urine sample to see what's going on.
