Our beloved cat aged 10 was diagnosed with large cell intestinal lymphoma last week after a biopsy revolved some large lymphocyte cells. Although the lab didn't want to commit to saying it was LCL due ti there not being enough cells to analyse, from what they saw there were some large cells so they are pretty sure it's that.
We are not putting her through any further testing or biopsies because it's not going to change the outcome and we just want to enjoy our remaining time left with her.
She has been put on a steroid tablet twice a day to make her feel better, but the inevitable will happen at some point they said it could be weeks or months.
She is still active, albeit sleeping a bit more than usual. Going outside and running in the garden, enjoying cuddles and purring, and cleaning herself. She is eating little and often and enjoying freshly cooked fish!
We are devastated but can only live her and cuddle her so much whilst she is still with us making her time left so precious.
My question is has anyone had a cat with this and how long did they live for after diagnosis with a steroid treatment?
