New Kittens

Good morning all!

We got our kittens a while ago now, and on the whole they are pretty well behaved.

After some advice or tips on a couple of things:

So they love going behind the TV unit to explore. All the wires have protectors on, but they contanstly pull the wires out the walk just from walking through them. We have tried the citrus spray, foil and telling them no but none of those deter them. Any other tips?

Also, they love to come and try and eat our food at meal times. We have been trying to say no and then moving them away but its not really working so if anyone can advise on that topic that would be great!

Thank you :)😀

I'm very sorry but photos (litter tray tax) are required so the perfect advice can be dispensed.
And I've never managed to stop cats going after our food...

We had the same problem. The TV is now on the wall although I appreciate that isn't always possible.

As for the food, we have the same issue 😂

You really need to set them a place at the table, they wouldn’t need to steal your food.
😉😁😁😺😺

Ha thank you all!
To solve the TV situation we are going to try and make that area more solid.
As for the dinners, looks like we may be onto a losing battle.

And that's why photos are needed. Clearly your cats are far too cute to be trained or disciplined, so you'll just have to learn to live with their foibles.
I would commend wall mounting the TV if possible though.

I have the same issues with food. 😂

Toddlerteaplease · 20/11/2023 14:29

They are very cute!

Toddlerteaplease · 20/11/2023 14:30

But I agreed with @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats you are just going to have to suck it up. 🤣🤣

Incorrigible Birmans.

Just give up @joannaB89 .

They are the masters of the house.

joannaB89 · 20/11/2023 14:37

Thank you! They are ragdolls, I know they are so similiar to Birmans who are also ridiculously cute.

Oh I’m not familiar with those-not personally- they do look very similar in type! Gorgeous.

Gorgeous cats!

Can you block off behind the TV unit? With wooden sides or something to stop them accessing the wires? Or wall mount it as the others have said - ours damaged our last TV by knocking it once too often.

As for the food - it's their food now Grin
