Electric heated pads/blanket

Does anyone have an electric heat pad for their DCat and can you recommend a make/model? He has a self heated version.

What are the running costs?

If we are reducing our use of the central heating (cost of living) I'm wondering if he'll be too cold.

Gorgeous cat!! Totally deserves a heated blanket 😃

They don't feel hugely warm to the touch but if you keep your hand on it it's really warm and when you're cat is lying on it's super cosy. I move mine around, sometimes they're on top of a box or cushion and sometimes directly on the floor.

No idea of the running cost but I feel they're totally worth it to give me peace of mind my cats are cosy.

I bought one for me to put on my bed but my cat uses it. Costs pennies to run just make sure not to leave them on unattended

I had a Pet Remedy heated pad. They did like it, but I think they found it a bit too hot. They loved my heated throw though!

.My old boy has one and loves it, running costs are minimal. Don’t know make but got it on Amazon. It is plugged in most of the year and is great when I am out and heating off and through the night. He also loves my heated throw which has a number of heat levels and is much warmer than his own pad.
Thenpad has definitely been worth the money. I have it near a widow , so he can moniker the street.

I have 2 heated blankets for myself but boy cat seems to always end up using one for himself. Thought I might as well buy them rather than one aimed at pets so I can use them as well. They wash very easily.

@Plump82 That's a very good point. I've been considering buying another "human" heated throw and it would give us more options for use (albeit with more laundry).
