Looking for extra stable scratching post

I have a chair that has been sacrificed for the cats to scratch on but would really like to get rid of it now or potentially have reupholstered
I think they like it because it is so very stable and doesn't budget even a tiny bit when they go crazy scratching- has anyone found an extra stable scratching post? Any that I have I can see there's a little bit of movement in them.

Cats have free roam outside (we have our own land so they have heaps of space) so don't think they are bored.

Catit Vesper 'furniture' is exceptionally well made, and has a heavily weighted base.

Ooh thanks, not heard of the corner scratchers or the furniture so shall take a look at these

I also have the Thompson one although mine must be the older version with burgundy and beige stripes

these are absolutely bullet-proof, and don’t fall over no matter how angrily the cat attacks it…

A proper solid wooden cat tree is probably your best bet. Ours was about £50 off Amazon.

We have this one. Our large cat has booshed everything in the house but can’t move this. Base is heavy. It’s on sale too.

Whenever I've bought an official cat scratching post, it has been eyed with contemptuous disdain and completely ignored.

The only one that's been recently successful is a shallow flat box affair that sits on the floor and is filled with what looks like corrugated cardboard.

I have set of steps from Kalven. Pricey, but it's lasted years.
