Annual jabs today- what to expect

Taking Queen Nibs to the vet for her annual vaccinations today. Never done this before (she's my first cat).

I know she will meow pitifully the whole way there and back as she hates being in the carrier and the car. Not sure what to expect later - will she feel a bit off? Am assuming she will be very grumpy with us so will give her lots of playtime and Dreamies!
How do your cats usually react after their vacs?

I think it varies from cat to cat. Generally though she will probably be sleepy and quiet. She should be fine tomorrow. X

Also, she’s beautiful!

Mine usually run off as soon as they're let out the carrier when we get home. They come back when they're hungry. I have never reallynoticeds them being unwell or out of sorts.

Mine yowls pitifully all the way there too.
I get them to give him spot on flea and wormer if he needs them as he always throws up on the way home, so tablets are pointless.
I always line his carrier with a towel because of the throwing up.

He doesn’t seem to be affected by the jabs though.

He also has some psychic knowledge that it is vet day as he will hide under the bed even before I’ve got the carrier out.

As kittens mine were a bit sleepy after their vaccinations, but as adults they've always behaved as normal.

She's adorable!

Lovely photo!
It varies from cat to cat. Most of mine show no reaction afterwards but you get the occasional cat who is a bit quiet and off colour for 24 hours.

Ah thanks everyone, I feel less worried now. I expect she will be grumpy with us. She usually is after we've put monthly flea stuff on her or clipped or nails!

Mine got it done yesterday. They seemed a bit tired afterwards but whether that was from the jabs or the stress of going I don't know. One lives outside most of the time but she just curled up on a chair and slept.
I can tell you i moved the cat carrier to the kitchen from the hall a couple hours later and they both took off in the opposite direction! Thank goodness it's only once a year (but they sure remember).
