Toilet problems help!

Rescued x2 3.5 year old brother and sister. Boy is good as gold although slightly nervous but the sister is confident as anything but is having toilet issues. First a wee on my bed. Second a wee on the dogs bed. And now she’s just done a poo on the floor! Lady I rescued them from mentioned that she was having toilet issues when they got to her and she crated her which solved the problem. But now it seems she’s back to her old tricks. She knows to use the litter tray as she is going but then randomly will do a wee or poo elsewhere! I have pet remedy plugged in and constantly clean the litter trays. I now only let them have access to the room with litter tray and food in and the stairs during night and whilst we are at work. I know it’s recommended to let them out after 6 weeks so I guess that isn’t an option yet as they have only been with us a week. Any advice please as it’s pretty frustrating.

She needs to see a vet to be checked for any physical problems.

If she's fit and healthy then you need to figure out if it's behavioural or habitual.

Did they come from an actual rescue? Crating a cat is extremely unusual (except for medical recovery) and somewhat cruel.

Inappropriate toileting is very often the result of stress. When did they last see a vet?

What litter are you using? I’ve seen woodchip cause problems like this too.
