Cat flu/flare ups

We re-homed a semi-feral kitten at six weeks of age back in June. He's now seven months old, neutered and full of beans.

When he was about three months old he had a period of sneezing and a bit of a sniffly nose (no snot, no coughing, no eye discharge or anything) - the vet said it was likely a mild case of flu and he was given antibiotics as a precaution. He's been fine ever since.

But yesterday he had a sneezing fit and he sounds a bit sniffly again. I'll take him to the vets but I know cat flu can "flare up" throughout their lives. Does anyone have any experience?

He's absolutely fine in himself and our other cats aren't showing any symptoms if anything. He's fully vaccinated. Photo for tax!

Hi.
Oh he's gorgeous.
My cat had cat flu about 2 years ago, it was really bad, but he fully recovered after about 3 weeks
He does have occasional flare ups, which are normally runny eyes and a bit of sneezing.I just keep an eye on him and bathe his eyes.It usually lasts a few days then he's ok.
If it lasts longer than a few days I take him to the vet.Hope your boy is ok soon

Thanks @Clarich007 he knows it too!

Typically he seems absolutely fine today so I'll just see how he gets on.

He's entitled to.I love ginger cats, but never been lucky enough to be owned by one, despite having cats all my life
I'm glad he seems better today 😻

He's my second ginger boy - they're such fantastic personalities!

It's reassuring to know that yours is okay without the vets - I've been so unlucky with all four of our animals needing the vet in the past few months - it's cost me a bloody fortune lol.
