Getting a urine sample

Arghh!! The vet wants a urine sample from
cheddar. I've got the granules and a new tray. But I've done this before and it did t work. Wish us luck! I did ask if she could just have an in out catheter. As we would do in humans. But apparently she needs to be sedated for it.

Good luck Toddler.

Getting a sample from TemporaryCat wasn't successful either. He crossed his legs and hung on for hours. Clearly hated the feel of the special granules on his feet and the fact it wasn't nice and deep for digging and just would not go. My housemate cracked in the end & filled his tray up with normal stuff, as he was clearly so miserable, putting 2 paws in the tray then meowing and staring at her looking sad. And was probably not far away from weeing onto the floor which he's never done. Vet had only asked for it as a precaution as we'd taken him in for something else, so we just said, he won't comply and she said it wasn't essential.

Hope Cheddar 'produces' soon.

I had to get a sample once and Barnaby made such a fuss about wanting to go out after we returned from the vets I said in exasperation "if you go for a wee in the tray you can go out". To my amazement he did. I got the sample and he went out.

He was diagnosed with crystals and sadly not long after he was killed on a road. I hate driving past where he was found every late November.

Hope you get your sample soon.

Penelope has produced a a clump. And I think Cheddar's is darker. Ive got laminate floor so If she does a printer see I can at least grab that. Will pop
Into work and dipstick it. As it's the same as the vets would do.

I have got a sample but I'm pretty sure sure it's not from the right cat. So poor Penelope is confined to the spare room, so I know exactly who's is who's!

Managed to get a sample! Dipsticked it and it's got 2+ protein and 4+ leucoytes in it.
