My Naughty is poorly

This is a pic from a few weeks ago, I think he looked fairly ok then. But he went all lethargic recently and off his food.

He's in hospital with jaundice/potential liver issues and a temperature.

Pray for him please.

Still waiting for vet to call and say how he's getting on.

I hope he gets well soon. 🤞

Any news on your boy?

Hugs and prayers 🙏

Call them, you won’t rest till you know. It’s so scary.

porridgeisbae · 03/11/2023 20:10

Thanks for asking and for your thoughts.

Naughty has what seems to have been triaditis/liver infection. When he was on the antibiotics and fluids he went from being really lethargic to really jumpy and anxious in the hospital with all the other animals apparently, so he must've been better. Then they had to fight to get him back in his basket. Grin

Home now with some antibiotics and morphine. Hiding under the sofa but came out to have some treat food and was purring as he scoffed it.

Just got to try and get him to have the antibiotics now. Grin

Oh my gosh that is such good news Yey!!

hot tip for meds - get a pill crusher and grind the pills up and mix with something like lick-e-lix. Total winner for medication insertion into cats 😁

I'm so glad to read your update!

itwasdifferentinthe90s · 03/11/2023 21:42

He has such a lovely characterful face

porridgeisbae · 03/11/2023 21:47

It's a funny pic of him. Usually he looks too serious. Smile

Naughty seems a bit better, eating a bit more etc.🐯

Still feeling very sorry for himself though, bless him.

Sending positive thoughts to Naughty.

itwasdifferentinthe90s · 05/11/2023 19:07

Is he naughty ? Because he actually looks like a very good boy

porridgeisbae · 05/11/2023 19:27

@itwasdifferentinthe90s I think he looks quite cheeky in that photo. Smile He was kind of a stray when we met him, and he was very cheeky, nagging everyone for food. Smile We think he probably had a round that he would do to charm food out of people. Smile

How's is naughty ?

porridgeisbae · 07/11/2023 18:06

Thanks for asking. ❤

He's still being hard work in terms of getting him to eat and drink. But today has been his best day since he was in the hosp. He will end up having about half a tin of tuna. Smile Might try and syringe feed him some Lactol.

He has a checkup on Thursday to see how he's going.

He reminds me of my first ever cat who was just the best and an ex Street cat as well

Jasmin1971 · 07/11/2023 18:19

Hugs to all 🐈

porridgeisbae · 20/11/2023 22:48

Hello my dears, thanks for all your thoughts. I just thought I'd update that Naughty Knight is back on top form, attacking his flapping kipper and playing up for food frequently. Smile

This is wonderful to see!
Bloody cats...at death's door then attacking mechanical fish!
They don't care what they put their slaves through.
You were an excellent slave though.
Really well done. So many people give up because the cat is so unresponsive.
Us slaves know how to look after our bosses!
