I figure I'd get my kitten tax in before I get told off.
He's a classic red tabby Maine Coon and is desperate to escape and meet our two middle aged moggies, who aren't bothered about meeting him.

Hasn't even hidden anywhere! No name yet. I'm sure he'll name himself at some point.

Beautiful!

Looks like a Rufus to me.

Theoldwrinkley · 02/11/2023 19:01

Our ginger maine coon has made himself at home in the 6 days he has been here. We were going to call him 'Maximillian' (Max for short) but he doesn't look like a Max. So have settled on 'Rufus' (although I keep calling him Fergus).

I don't think I can persuade DS to go with Rufus. So far Fritz is winning though I have no clue where that came from. DH and I are calling him Muffin from the kitten meme ("Small homicidal muffin on legs") until he has a proper name!

Aww how old is he @Heronatemygoldfish?
this is my 15wk black silver tabby maine coon Norris.

we seem to have a Harry Potter theme going with pets names, our other kitten (a ginger maine coon cross) is called Crookshanks!

@GerbilMum26 he's 13 weeks and just left mum. I played with the litter for ages when they were 8 weeks and I can't believe how much he's grown!

Yours looks very grown up. I've just given myself a shock ordering decent meat % food pouches and even then they're only complementary not complete! Good job the dry is... but we have a bagful of that from the breeder. I've seen too many posts on kittens' dicky tums with food changes so not going there yet, at least until we've got all the cats introduced properly!

We've now hit a month and have just switched over from the complimentary Agria insurance to the Petplan policy our moggies are on. Gosh the pedigree prices are a lot compared to moggies!

He's an absolute nutcase. Our tortie can now more or less tolerate him (they had a scrap yesterday but he will insist on ambushing her tail...) but the B&W boy really doesn't like him. Ah well it's only a month...

We're also supervising trips into the back garden. He loves it. Again the other cats aren't as impressed as the catflap is on in-only and they have to ask to go out...

Latest cat tax (he's growing so fast! 17 weeks now.)
