Flea treating a tiny cat.

Penelope only weighs 2.3kg despite being 3 years old. Was hoping to share Cheddar's spot ons. But they are 2.5kg and above. Do I just not give the whole dose? Or can you get kitten stuff?

See your vet. They'll be able to recommend the correct treatment at the correct dose.

Advantage flea treatment for small cats that weigh under 4kg (minimum 1kg).
It can be bought online.

Please check with your vet. A rescue I follow has had a couple of cases of kittens/v small cats having terrific problems having been given too much flea preventative or given it too soon. Problems that have cost thousands to turn round.

PS she's lovely BTW.

You can get specific treatment for kittens.

stronghold plus 15mg treats cat less than 2.5mg its POM V so either direct from vet or written prescription from vet for you to get online.

I'll speak to the vet when she goes for her vaccinations. I was hoping to share Cheddar's stuff as she gets it on the health plan. Not putting Penelope on it as it's not as good value as it used to be.
