Worms! Advice please

One of my two cats is a prolific hunter and despite regular worming came in yesterday with a worm hanging out his bottom. I didn't take a good look to see if it was a roundworm or tapeworm but quickly put him outside and gave him Drontol. (The other cat was given Dronspot.)
He usually sleeps on my husband's bed (I'm with our baby - cats aren't allowed in there) so I have hot washed the bedding and hoovered and steamed the floors. I am insisting that the infected cat is restricted to our utility room for at least 3 days. My husband thinks I am being over the top but I am concerned about our baby! How many days would seem reasonable to you?

I wouldn't restrict him from anywhere as long as he was being treated.

I've read it takes a while for the wormer to take affect...there appear to be what looks like eggs in the utility room 😫

I still wouldn't isolate my cat over this - just wash your hands properly and you'll be fine.
