Recommendations please
Last time I used Sainsburys and never had to use them although they were lovely when Dcat died and sent me £100 which was apparently what I’d put down as purchase price

Mine are with ManyPets

We've gone with petplan.

I wanted one that would do lifelong cover for medication, should my old girl develop a long term condition.

When we finally needed to claim at the end of her life they dealt directly with the vet. We just paid the excess. They even covered the euthanasia and cremation at the very end.

So we've gone with them again for current cat.

My son has his Siamese with Petplan , lifetime policy . They’ve paid out very quickly when we’ve used them .

We're with Tesco for all ours and never had a problem.

We're with Tesco, did our first claim with them this year (well the vets did a direct claim) and it was settled in a few days. I had my renewal through and I had only gone up by about £1 a month following the claim. I was with legal and general for a previous cat and they were also very good.

Mine are with Manypets too.

I'm with petplan. I have exotic breed cats so I wanted to make sure I had enough cover for anything that may happen. Not the cheapest but I'm hoping it will deliver if I ever need to claim.

Petplan or Manypets. Manypets premiums are really reasonable, and the cover is great. My only issue is the time it takes to pay out - Petplan are slightly more expensive but also a lot quicker at paying out.

JaceLancs · 10/09/2023 21:19

I’ll have a look at many pets and may take you up on voucher offer @Michelleweee
I tried to get a quote from petplan today but as we haven’t got him yet (collect in 2 weeks) haven’t chosen a name (although Finlay is winning so far) and don’t know DOB I couldn’t fill the online form in
I will have a look at Tesco too
Thanks everyone

Tesco have been excellent with my huge claims.

Toddlerteaplease · 10/09/2023 21:56

And they are easy to negotiate a discount if the premium is too high.
