Adopting Magic

We are adopting a cat from the RSPCA, we pick him up on Saturday. He is 3 and was brought to the centre as a stray ( with some injuries). Any tips for settling him in?

Mine just want you to know a couple of House Rules :

Just because Magic was a stray (mine were born in a garden ) doesn;t mean they won't embrace domesticity on their terms . Like breakfast/supper routine that they grow to expect and you will be expected to adhere to .

Our male whinged at me when he had his dinner given in The Wrong Bowl , he likes the scalloped edge ones that allow his whiskers to not be bent .
Once I twigged and changed the bowl he was fine .

Their bed is where they damn well please mp matter how inconvenient to you
Doors are that shut are an insult to them .He'll complain until he's safe to go out exploring .

When you find a dropped whisker its like a gift from heaven . (I keep all the whiskers in a bag on the fridge magnet , it's not in the least bit weird !)

We just do as we are told!

The 70 cats recommend Dreames as a good taining aid . The appear about 1pm looking hopeful and one of the House Serfs will go to the cupboard .

I always renamr my animals , even if we know their names , they get a new name for their new life .
Magic would go to Magic Mike and then just "Mike"
